Sunday Preview 07.01.18

This Sunday at Cornerstone Church...

During this life, God's people are continually confronted with the possibility of a divided allegiance. Most will never be in a situation as grave as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel 3); but as we observe their plight, we must come to the conclusion that God is trustworthy. The statement these Jewish men made to the king is of great importance, "our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up." (vv. 17–18) Their hope was not simply upon a deliverance in this life, but upon the ultimate salvation they knew would come from God. God is able and willing "to rescue the godly from trials" (2 Pet. 2:9a). The ultimate rescue is an eternal home with God. Based upon God's covenant faithfulness, His people can entrust their body, soul, and spirit to Him in life and in death.

Sunday Songs

Each week we'll include a list of songs we plan to sing during our time of corporate worship. We hope this helps you prepare for our Sunday gatherings.
